The arts play a vital role in enriching our communities, educating our families, celebrating the past and
inspiring the future. Bank of America has launched the Art in our Communities™ program to share works from its
art collection with museum partners across the globe.
About the Program
Bank of America has converted its corporate art collection into a unique community resource from which
museums and nonprofit galleries may borrow complete or customized exhibitions at no cost. By providing these
exhibitions, Art in our Communities helps sustain community engagement and generate vital revenue for the
venues, which in turn leads to stability in local communities. Between the time of the program's launch in 2009
and the end of this year, 50 communities worldwide will have benefited by the loan of an exhibition to one of their
local museums.
We view the program as a collaborative effort, and we support our partners throughout the course of
the exhibition by providing the following services and materials:
- Packing and shipping works of art
- Restoring and framing
- Shipping insurance
- Supporting and didactic materials for exhibitions

Our Collection
The Bank of America Collection is one of the most diverse corporate art collections in the world, encompassing
thousands of works including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, textiles and artifacts. It
is an asset we believe should be shared among the widest possible audience and leveraged to benefit our
communities. The works range from the Hudson River School, American Impressionism and the art of the
American West to works by African American, Latin American and Native American artists. Additionally, the
collection includes a critically acclaimed selection of important photography, with examples from the medium's
early years to artists shaping today's trends and technologies.
