Foundation Grants

We provide millions of dollars in grants, large and small, delivering a wide range of support for the arts, from education and access programs at the local level to major investments that help institutions expand their services and revitalize their communities.

Bank of America is one of the largest corporate philanthropists in the world. In 2009, we initiated a new ten-year, $2 billion charitable giving goal, across a number of categories including the arts. This goal complements our new ten-year, $1.5 trillion community development lending and investing goal that also initiated in the same year. Our philosophy is that healthy communities are built on a strong foundation of quality jobs, financial services, education, housing, social support, and cultural enrichment.

Sponsorships

Bank of America sponsors national programs and institutions, as well as local events that open doors to enriching experiences to people across the globe.

We provide extensive support in the form of sponsorships, underwriting exhibitions, programs and performances that require private funding to make them a reality. This support extends real benefits to our communities— globally and locally— while helping our company build a strong position in the marketplace. Our Sponsorships emphasize shared cultural experiences by supporting exhibitions and performances as they travel to numerous markets as well as exhibitions that explore other cultures. These include US-based organizations that travel the world as cultural ambassadors, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and the Bridge Project, a partnership between the Old Vic in London and BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) in New York City.
